    I found a good buy on pork a used this to make corned pork. It includes instacure #1 and I only had to measure out the amount I needed for the amount of pork I had on hand. I cut the pork in 3-4 inch cubes so it would brine faster and placed the pork,water and pickeling spice in a 5 gallon bucket,and 3 days later I had corned pork.This was my first attempt at that an couldn’t be happier with the results.

    I use the pickling spice for a lot things; brine poultry, canned pickles, okra, etc., corned beef. A very good blend and I don’t have to keep all the separate ingredients on hand. It is easily modified to make it a little sweeter, a little saltier, a little hotter. Etc. It is a staple for my ingredient pantry.
