Low Sodium Beef Stock Base is a great substitute with only 140mg of sodium per serving. Like our Beef Stock Base, the low sodium base can be added to soups and stews to boost the flavor, or mixed with water to create a delicious gravy. It’s also a great way to add flavor when cooking rice or other grains. Offering a real meaty beef flavor, authentic stock base will save you hours of preparation time. Highly concentrated and gluten free. 

What Is Stock?
Stock is a rich, savory liquid prepared by simmering bones and vegetables in water for hours with herbs and spices until the flavor is extracted. Stock derives its flavor primarily from the protein, not from heavy sodium. As a result, stock is usually a healthier product, delivering a richer mouth feel and deeper flavor than broth.

Stock is a versatile culinary tool that can deliver taste to any number of dishes. Darker in color and more concentrated in flavor than broth, it’s ideal for use in soups, rice, sauces and more. Customize it to your preference by adding salt and seasonings as needed.

Any recipe calling for salt may be replaced with the stock base. This allows the overall salt content of the dish to be lowered while adding more flavor. Some typical uses are soups, sous vides, gravies, sauces, casseroles, marinades, rissotos, slow cooking, savory pies, rice dishes and stuffings.

Cooking Instructions
Combine 1 teaspoon of stock base with 1 cup boiling water for a rich, instant broth or stock, stirring until dissolved. For larger amounts, combine 4 oz with 5 quarts boiling water or 1 pound with 5 gallons boiling water.

Recommended Storage
Refrigerate for best flavor. For best quality, keep lid tightly closed between uses.
