Wiener, Hot Dog, Frank…whatever you call it, they’re delicious. For some reason this emulsified sausage has gotten a bad rap over the years. The kinds of things that some people say are inside them are probably 90% false. I still don’t like those odds; making hot dogs the way you want them and knowing exactly what’s inside is the peace of mind that this seasoning brings. Use whatever meat you prefer: 100% beef, beef w/pork, venison/pork…etc. But, the point is if you have a good butcher, you will know 100% what’s in the entire final product. Look at the ingredients in this seasoning, spices and sugar (dextrose)… no unpronounceable chemicals. You will love this seasoning, and so will everyone else.
Uses Insta Cure No. 1 and Soy Protein Concentrate, usually stuffed into a 24-26 mm sheep casing (Insta Cure No. 1, Soy Protein Concentrate and casings sold separately).
