Our Farmer’s Pork Sausage Seasoning is a variation of Boerewors. Pronounced BOO-ruh-VORS, is a South African fresh beef. The name means “farmer’s sausage” and comes from a combination of the Afrikaans words boer (‘farmer’) and wors (‘sausage’).
Our seasoning works best with pork. Seasoning contains: sage, thyme, salt, pepper, paprika, brown sugar and red pepper flakes. Flavor profile has a mild to medium heat. For excellent sausage sticks or breakfast sausage.

We did a back-to-back tasting session with four flavors of sausage. I expected a more mellow flavor from the name, but this is quite kicky! There are red pepper flakes in this seasoning, and it was a favorite among our testers. I think this would make a fantastic pizza.
