Description

Based on the success and efficiency of our unique deluxe cabbage shredder, we are now offering an economic model. With either unit, you can shred up to a dozen heads of cabbage in under 10 minutes. The precision curved Stainless Steel blades (3 factory-sharpened in USA Model and 4 on Imported Model) can be adjusted to suit your recipe. We use 304 Stainless Steel which is particularly easy to clean, this is immediately appreciated when the fun is over and cleaning begins. It is also corrosion-resistant and non-porous, ensuring a long life and ready for your commercial kitchen. Both units feature our “Hands-Off” design for safe operation and plastic guard to ensure the sliced shreds end up in your food container. The tossing cylinder breaks up stuck-together shreds and is easily removable by opening box and simply lifting out of place (USA Model) or unscrewing handle and removing by sliding out front (Import Model).
Food lug not included.• 304 Series, 18 gauge Stainless Steel construction – Food Grade, Won’t Rust! • “Hands off” design keeps your fingers well away from cutting blades. • 3 Stainless Steel blades – 14ga • Ease of use means you shred cabbage like a pro!

The shredder itself appears to be of good quality and constructed well, but I have not used it yet. The only issue I had after unpacking was two of the corners were bent upwards at the rubber feet, so the unit wobbled. I put the shredder on a flat service and used a 2X4 and a hammer to straighten out the base. It does not wobble any longer and should be functional, but the damaged areas are noticeable.

I ordered this for shredding cabbage, but found that it’s wonderful for potato chips! I didn’t adjust the blades at all, so the chips are a mix of paper thin to pleasingly plump. After a swim in salt water, they fried up beautifully. Note: I’ve seen a few complaints about clean-up of this machine. It couldn’t be easier. Just be super careful of those ultra-sharp blades!

Made well. Great shred for cole slaw, but had to adjust blades for finer cut for sauerkraut. Also back of tumbler needs to be removed for cleaning, otherwise cabbage wedges between back and knife compartment, can’t wash or spray it out. Not a big deal, but another step in cleaning.

    Not time to make kraut.
But just from looking it over it looks like it will work out.

it would be helpful if some instructions came with it on adjusting the blades, cleaning of it. Other than, it worked fine the first time without any instructions.
The video is great, but doesn’t give all the details.
