    I had a pound of fresh pork sirloin in the fridge and decided to have sausage for breakfast. Ground up the pork, put in the required amount of seasoning (with a little ice water) and fried it up.     I should of ordered the low salt seasoning. I don’t like salt. the breakfast sausage seasoning is easy to use and make the perfect sausage. when pork butt’s are under a dollar a pound I make up about 20 pounds and put them in the freezer. a jar of seasoning last a long time.

    This is the perfect sausage seasoning! I like a bit of sage, a bit of pepper, and a bit of other spices but I don’t want a forward cinnamon flavor, nor a forward chile pepper flavor.

    The heat is just enough to call seasoned and the sage notes are perfect. This sausage flavor works really well with pancakes and maple syrup.

    This is my ”go to” breakfast sausage blend, I’ve been using it for a few years now, usually grind a couple pork butts, portion, vacuum pack it and freeze. I make sausage gravy and add a bit more of the seasoning to make up for the dilution from the milk, everyone asks why my gravy is so much better than local restaurants.

    The seasoning is delicious, but I am seasoning about a 1.5-2 lbs package at a time so it would be great if you could put a chart of different pounds of meat a person is seasoning with how much seasoning to add. I did 1.5T to one package and it was a bit salty, so I think 1T will do the trick-trial and error ;). Otherwise I’m happy with the mix and will definitely recommend it others because pork seasoning is hard to find in stores!

Questions and answers of the customers

    The ratios listed on the packaging do not add up. According to your instructions of using 5 ounces per 10 pound batch, it would require 25 ounces to complete five ten pound batches, not the 24 ounces you are providing. This appears to make 48 pounds of finished sausage not 50. What part of the instructions do I not fully understand?

    You are correct. 1.5 lbs=680g whereas 25 oz=708g. I will speak to our kitchen and adjust for the extra missing ounce!

    You can add whatever you wish once it is in your hands. The breakfast seasoning does not contain any binders, as we feel it does not need any. If you use proper mixing methods you should not need any binders.

    Yes, but remember to add at least 25% pork because Venison is very lean.

    I've attached the label for you for the breakfast seasoning. It's a pre-made mix so you just add the seasoning and water to the ground up meat then stuff it into a 32-35mm hog or 22-24mm sheep casing! Let us know if you need anything else.
