I have to watch my fat intake, so I was very much interested in making my own lean sausage. Store-bought turkey or chicken brats are usually over or under seasoned and dry. I bought a meat grinder and was looking for a good seasoning mix when I found the Sausage Maker. I ground 10 lbs of pork loin and added the seasoning mix, followed the recipe and went straight into a hot skillet as patties. The sausage was juicy, delicious, and authentic bratwurst. We loved it.
