24″ long and approximately 3″ when stuffed. A mahogany colored fibrous casing used for making salamis and summer sausage. These casings are Pre-tied on one end for your convenience, just soak, stuff, clip one end and hang! The fiber in these casings runs lengthwise which makes them strong so they can be stuffed tighter without breaking. No smoking is needed as the mahogany color simulates the color of smoke. Need not be refrigerated. Soak 10-30 minutes in tap water before using. Not edible. Stuffing capacity: approx. 5 lbs.

Unfortunately it took Sausagemaker three tries with shipping to get it right. First, they shipped me one item out of 8 on the order, and that shipment took over 2.5 weeks to arrive. Next, after I called to let the. Know they made a mistake, they shipped, overnight, all but one item from the rest of my order. Finally, after having to call them again, they shipped my last item 2-day shipping. Three weeks to get my order, and with all of the inconvenience they caused, one would think they would send me some sort of apology gift, but I got nothing but a disgruntled customer service rep to deal with.
