Purchased to replace original which constantly got fogged up and eventually did not provide accurate readings. (This is on a homemade smoker where the back of the thermometer is directly exposed to the interior of the smoker). On first use of the replacement it only fogged a little. I pulled the unit and applied silicone sealer around the openings on the back side to prevent future recurrence. Will know if it was successful on my next run.
