Description

PLEASE NOTE: Natural casings cannot be shipped outside the US.

An edible casing generally used to make frankfurters, Italian or breakfast (country) sausage. 1 lb of meat will use about 2 1/4' of casings. Sausage Maker casings are packed in purified salt and have an indefinite shelf life when stored in the refrigerator. Flush and soak in tap water before using. Salted casings have a very long shelf life when stored properly. Un-refrigerated, these salted casings quickly begin to give off a strong odor even though they are not spoiled. Put them back under refrigeration and this odor for the most part subsides. Stuffing capacity per pack: Approximately 70 lbs.

Diameter:
1 1/8" to 1 1/4" when stuffed

Packaged Item Demensions: 6" L, 6" W, 6" H
Unit Weight: 3 lbs.

Reviewer: Andreas Moll from Milford, KS United States
Ich purchased natural hog casings ( 29-32 mm ) and sheep casings ( 22-24 mm ) , the service and shipping was great.
The hog casings was im so far, but they could be a little bit longer.
The sheep casings was a pain in the butt, there was not one casings that was longer then 3 feet.
Ich really don't buy the sheep casings again

3 of 5 Quality April 26, 2019
Reviewer: clifton brown from Henderson , AR United States
The quality was good but not great. The only reason for my review would be the fact that after using some of the product I found some of the casings a little bit thick and, there were still enough whiskers as to cause a bit of a tangling problem.

1 of 5 1 star April 23, 2019
Reviewer: Tom Windschitl from Fridley, MN United States
I was disappointed with these casings. they were not of very good quality.  When I stuffed them they had breaks in them and the size was not what i expected. Much larger more like 32-35 MM. I have always used 32-35 but was hoping for a little smaller ones.
