PLEASE NOTE: Natural casings cannot be shipped outside the US

An edible casing generally used to make pork sausage links or breakfast sausage. Approximately 100 yards long. Sausage Maker casings come packed in purified salt for an indefinite shelf life when refrigerated. Casings should be flushed and soaked in water before using. Salted casings have a very long shelf life when stored properly. Un-refrigerated, these salted casings quickly begin to give off a strong odor even though they are not spoiled. Put them back under refrigeration and this odor for the most part subsides. Stuffing capacity: Approximately 40 lbs.

Diameter:
Approximately 7/8" to 1" when stuffed

Keep it on hand. Keep it salted and it will last a long time. Might as well buy a big jar.  Great 'Crunch' for brats and everyone wants to know where I got the big breakfast sausage.

5 of 5 1st time user of natural casings December 16, 2019
Reviewer: Lonny Slinger from Northfield, MN United States
Since this is the first time ever using a natural casing I found it a little more difficult to work with while wearing gloves but quickly got the hang of it and it worked out fine. This casing has some surprising strength to it while stuffing yet is not present while eating. I highly recommend it.

We make a wonderful snack size salami like wurstli with these. Very nice, somewhat fragile.

1 of 5 Sheep caseings October 27, 2019
Reviewer: Robert McHugh from Morgan City, LA United States
Caseings were below my expectations.  They looked to be from lambs - too small for my smallest horn and ruptured many times during stuffing.  I eventually gave up and threw them away.  Too expensive to just throw away.  I did not have this problem with previous use of sheep caseings.  Will not order again.
