Dehydrator Troubleshooting Guide

| No power
|
Power cord damaged
|
Visually inspect, replace if necessary
|
|
|
No power to the receptacle the unit is plugged into
|
Check to see if circuit breaker is tripped. If so, reset it. If unit continues to trip circuit breaker, then it has a short circuit and needs repair.
|

|
Thermal switch overload
|
Reduce heat, wait 5-10 minutes for switch to reset itself. If it doesn't reset then it needs to be replaced.
|
|
|
A panel wire is loose or disconnected
|
Visually inspect. Reconnect wire if necessary
|
| Fan works, but there is poor heat
|
Control knob has moved from its original position
|
Loosen set screw on control knob and remove it. Turn the control shaft fully clockwise and reinstall knob with white mark on high and tighten set screw.
|
| Fan works, but poor heat or no heat
|
Heating element broken or short circuit
|
Visually inspect heating element and replace if necessary
|
| Fan not working (No air circulation)
|
Fan blade damaged or obstructed
|
Visually inspect fan blade and replace if necessary. Make sure the screen isn't touching the blade.
|
|
|
Motor brushes worn out
|
Replace motor
|
| Excessive noise or vibration
|
Fan blade damaged
|
Replace fan blade
|
|
|
Motor mount screws are loose
|
Retighten mounting screws
|
| No heat on low settings (95° - 115°)
|
Tempeature control doesn't necessarily correspond with sticker settings
|
Increase control setting in small amounts until desired temperature is reached.
