Good recipes but not a "smoker" book June 10, 2016

I'm giving this book mixed reviews because, although I enjoyed the book and will try some of the recipes, what I was hoping for was a little more info on brining/smoking fish and a little less on using smoked fish in fancy recipes. The book is also fairly Atlantic- centric in fish species recipes for a Pacific Coast guy who puts a few hundred pounds of salmon, halibut, ling and rockfish in the freezer every year. But it's kind of a fun read.
