Have bought many items from the Sausage Maker now--and will continue to buy casings and spices here. However, the equipment has major problems--This 50 lb meat mixer? mixes fine until the sausage mix becomes thick and pasty like it needs to be. The handle popped off in the middle of my first mix, showing me how it was hastily glued together. How about the 5 LB sausage stuffer that I paid $200 for? On my second batch, the stuffer pressed out all of the sausage and pop! the gear mechanism stopped working. I couldn't pull the stuffer back up as the gears couldn't catch--then i noticed the little shavings of metal, letting me know the gear stripped and would no longer function. This company is not rigorously testing the equipment they are selling. If you are serious about making high quality sausages, you can buy casing and spices here but will have to find equipment elsewhere. I guess I'll go back to Cabela's until I can one day afford used commercial butcher equipment.
