The top is removable to make both the loading and unloading of meat and the cleaning process easier than with front-only loading models. Just received my smoker today and am proud to see that quality workmanship still exists.A well built and decorative smoker.Plugged it in and it holds temperature very well,even low temperatures.Insulated well.Love the digital control with meat thermometer.Also the removable top is nice.Very user friendly to cook and clean.A very well designed smoker.Good job!!!
