This 3 piece set includes stainless steel Chinois, wooden pestle and stand.  Used to strain custards, purees, soups, and sauces, producing a very smooth texture. It can also be used to dust pastry with a fine layer of powdered sugar and prepare fruits for canning.  Use pestle to press food through Chinois.  Handle allows Chinois to rest in pots.  Chinois is dishwasher safe.  Hand-wash Chrome base and use a damp cloth to clean the wooden pestle.
