Description

PLEASE NOTE: Natural casings cannot be shipped outside the US

An edible casing generally used to make pork sausage links or breakfast sausage. Approximately 100 yards long. Sausage Maker casings come packed in purified salt for an indefinite shelf life when refrigerated. Casings should be flushed and soaked in water before using. Salted casings have a very long shelf life when stored properly. Un-refrigerated, these salted casings quickly begin to give off a strong odor even though they are not spoiled. Put them back under refrigeration and this odor for the most part subsides. Stuffing capacity: Approximately 40 lbs.

Diameter:
Approximately 7/8" to 1" when stuffed

sheep casing November 4, 2016
Reviewer: Nick Azzarello from Holland, OH United States
Sheep casing can be a pain to work with at times, but I find the product from Sausage Maker to be an easier casing to stuff than others I have used.  Most likely due to the packaging they use and the storage containers.

Fresh high quality casings September 19, 2016
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
Arrived quickly and packaged well. Casings were well salted and packed in a plastic bag inside a jar with tamper-proof lid.
I've stuffed about eight pounds of breakfast links so far. Rinsed casings inside and out, soaking in cold water for about a half hour before filling.
The casings are super smooth and supple - indiscernible from fresh. Average length is about six feet. No holes or blemishes. Highly recommended!

Excellent Customer Service July 20, 2016
Reviewer: Kimberly from Point Pleasant Beach, NJ
Very easy & convenient to order from the catalog. Sales Rep was very helpful & kind. She recorded my contact information perfectly and I didn't have to spell anything twice. I was impressed because that's very uncommon these days.  She confirmed all all of the items ordered and everything arrived a few days later.
