An edible casing generally used in making of bratwurst, bockwurst and Italian sausage. (1 lb. of meat uses approximately 2 feet of casings) Casings come packed in purified salt and have an indefinite shelf life when stored in the refrigerator. Flush and soak in tap water before using. Salted casings have a very long shelf life when stored properly. Un-refrigerated, these salted casings quickly begin to give off a strong odor even though they are not spoiled. Put them back under refrigeration and this odor for the most part subsides. Stuffing capacity per hank: Approximately 125 lbs.

Awesome buy! They RARELY break. Great buy for the buck! I use these natural hog caings for venison kielbasa, as well as, venison pepperoni! They last a long time!

These casing are excellent! I could stuff them as quickly as I could turn the handle on my stuffer. No splits!

I've never had any problems with these fantastic casings. They are stuffed easily and don't break easily. It's a quality/cost must! They are very long.They are easy to flush. I let them in cold water in the fridge one day before I use them, that makes them easier to put on the stuffer. Really great item!
